Mastering Orthotic Fabrication for the Upper Extremity Level 1. Dania Beach, FL. July 26-27, 2025
The use of orthotics for upper extremities is an interegal intervention during post op protocols, to promote optimal positioning for recovery post trauma, and functional positioning to prevent joint deformities. Therapists who fabricate these orthoses require core knowledge of basic anatomy of the upper extremitiy involved, core understanding of the orthotic biomechanics and hands-on experience working with the materials in order to produce a well-fitting and effective orthosis for their patients. This course will provide the basic understanding and hands-on practice to fabricate commonly seen orthoses that are used in practice and can act as the core components for more advanced orthoses. Target Audience: PTs, PTAs, OTs, COTAs, ATCs Instructional Level: Beginners Instructional Methods: Hands-on lab, lecture with Q&A, group discussion, patient cases, evidence review. This is a live satellite course. Course Completion Requirements: must attend the entire 2-day course and complete the post-course test CEUs 16 TPTA CCUs 16 AOTA CEUs 1.6
