To effectively assess and treat these clients, therapists must have a solid understanding of the anatomy, structure and function of the vestibular system, and utilize evidence- based assessment, treatment and outcome measures in their treatment planning and documentation. Vestibular rehabilitation provides an effective alternative management strategy for patients living with movement and sensory selection impairments, and can significantly reduce the risk of problems related to balance, dizziness and falls. Through an integrated format of lecture, lab, case studies and open discussion, this workshop will provide therapists with the foundation and latest evidence to effectively evaluate and treat common vestibular disorders.
